Putting the "Value" back in YOU

I recently posted my Holiday Packages on Facebook and received a comment about my rates. The comment was "who would pay that kind of money". My first reaction was, "who is this person and clearly they can't be a friend of mine?" But then I thought, "thank you" as this is a topic that comes up often in life and business coaching sessions with clients and needs to be addressed on both sides.
The work that we do as Life Coaches and FasterEFT Practitioners is extremely valuable. I recently started working with a client who had spent tens of thousands of dollars on therapy dealing with past traumas and had not made any progress in letting go of her terror, rage, fear or pain, had not been able to love herself and was not able to function in life. She has had a total of 5 sessions valued at $1000 with me and no longer feels the terror or rage. She is working on forgiving and loving herself and living a peaceful, productive life and has thanked me profusely as this was the only method that was able to help her move forward. What value would one put on those results?
Investing in one's health, happiness and future is what we do everyday. Whether it's education, career, relationship, personal growth, or image, there are those who will see the value in investing in themselves and those who clearly don't understand their worth or the value of realizing their full potential. They have no problem investing in a sushi dinner or a day of shopping to fill the void but when it comes to what's most important - looking within, truly understanding who they are, what unique gifts they bring to the world and what their purpose for being here is, they are simply not willing or ready to go there. And then there are those that do.....and they give themselves the greatest gift of all - living in alignment with their authentic self, understanding what it means to operate at their best and most importantly, knowing what's possible in life and going for it!!! I see it everyday in my practice and it took me a long time to realize that I don't have to convince people to do the work, they will find me when the are ready to invest in themselves!
On the flip side, I work with Practitioners all over the world and one of the first things I ask them when we start working together is, "what is your hourly rate?" What do you feel that your work is worth? When we start to put the value back in ourselves and the powerful work that we do, we can go confidently in the direction of our dreams, build our practices and trust that our clients understand the value in our time and the gifts of transformation that we give them. It is their desire for those gifts that make this work worth every cent. Time to put the "Value" back in you!
